Description

Surrounded by 18 rolling acres of prairie and woodland, our country home provides comforts for the entire family. The B&B wing, with a keyed entry, allows you to come and go at your pleasure.

Two spacious bedrooms with screened porch, two bathrooms with whirlpool tubs plus a family room with two-way fireplace are found in the B&B.

The Sara Room is furnished with a queen size bed and a twin fold-out.
The Penney Room is furnished with a full size bed and twin waterbed.
Both bedrooms have a small TV with cable service and a DVD player.

If your party reserves both bedrooms you may use the futon in the family room for additional sleeping space. (An nominal additional fee is charged for more than 6 people).

Guests are invited to use the kitchenette - furnished with an array of small countertop appliances and a refrigerator - or the outdoor charcoal grill.

Other amenities on site include: high speed internet service, a library complete with books or magazines to read, talking books and board games for all ages, a washer/dryer, iron and alarm clocks, hair dryers. Ask about our available assistive devices for people living with hearing impairment or physical disability.

Our home is set on a hillside. Enjoy the panoramic view of the countryside and a BIG sky overhead. The Welcome HOME grounds include walking trails, picnic areas and a camp fire site.

All the B&B rooms are on the first level with a no step entry. Covered guest parking is located adjacent to the guest entrance. To ensure everyone's comfort...no smoking is allowed. The house and grounds are wheelchair-friendly.

Lower level community space with walls of windows overlooking the prairie is available for your family or group gathering. Contact us for details.

Golf - West Bend Lakes, The Bog, Hawthorne Hills are all within a 5 minute drive. Stoneridge Golf Course, Washington County Golf Course, Kettle Hills are a little further away.

Tennis courts and kids playgrounds, Pioneer Village, No No's Restaurant, Milwaukee River in Fireman's Park - 3 minutes

Within 15 minute drive you will find: Cedarburg with a winery, antiques, quilt museum, restaurants. West Bend offers a Saturday morning summer farmer's market, Museum of Wisconsin Art, Old Courthouse Square Historic Museum and a wide variety of restaurants. Grafton has the Kiln Lime park and Paramount Blues. Port Washington is on Lake Michigan.

Biking, hiking, swimming, disc golf, cross country skiing locations within 15 minutes drive include: Riveredge Nature Center, Ice Age Trail, Ehlers Park, Ozaukee Interurban Trail for hiking, biking, birding, Indian Mound park, Sandy Knoll Park, Kettle Moraine State Forest - Pike Lake and Mauthe Lake.

WIthin 30 minute drive: Holy Hill, Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary, Wisconsin Automobile Museum, Harrington State Beach Park, downtown Milwaukee. Kohler, down hill skiing.
